Albert Silva was charged with four counts of malicious destruction of property of $1,200 after he was arrested on Wednesday, March 22, Arlington Police Chief Julie Flaherty reports.

While patrolling the area of Scannell Field where, an officer found a vehicle parked next to the station that was vandalized with Silva standing next to it, Flaherty said.

As the officer approached him, Silva got in the vehicle and drove away. The officer, who saw graffiti written in red marker on the station, followed the vehicle to a nearby apartment complex.

Further investigation uncovered more graffiti on two pillars and a sign at the station, Flaherty added. Investigators later identified Silva as the suspect and arrested him without incident.

He was arraigned in Cambridge District Court on Thursday.
